What we arrange for owners
Your yacht lies in a marina, a yard or a winter berth abroad, and something needs to be looked at by someone you can trust. We find the right surveyor on site, agree the scope and price with you, and review the report before it reaches you.
Condition and valuation surveys
For your insurance renewal, a change of insurer, bank finance or to agree an insured value. The report states the condition, the findings and a market value the underwriter or lender can rely on.
Repair supervision and owner's representation
When your yacht is at a yard in another country, a surveyor attends for you: checks the quote and the scope, inspects the work at agreed stages and confirms the result before you pay the final invoice.
Damage surveys
After a grounding, collision, storm or water ingress: an independent record of cause, extent and repair cost, to the standard insurers and adjusters expect.
MCA coding, tonnage and flag inspections
For yachts going into charter or commercial use, or changing flag: coding inspections, tonnage measurement and flag state inspections including MLC, carried out by surveyors authorised for the code or flag concerned.
Desktop review and second opinion
A yard quote that looks high, a report you are unsure about, photos after an incident: we review the documents and tell you what is plausible, what is missing and whether a site visit is worth it.
Remote survey
Where a full attendance is not needed, a guided video inspection with the crew or the marina, recorded and summarised in a short report.
