We coordinate surveys on sailing and motor yachts and other small craft. Every survey is carried out on site by one of our affiliated surveyors and reported in the Nansen Holt format.
Damage surveys
After a grounding, collision, storm, fire, water ingress or a handling incident at the yard. We establish the cause, document and preserve the evidence, assess the extent of damage and set out the repair method and its cost. For hull and machinery as well as liability claims.
Condition and valuation surveys
For underwriting, policy renewals and the agreement of insured values. A structured assessment of hull, deck, rig, machinery, systems and safety equipment, with a clear statement of condition and value.
Expert opinions in disputes
For law firms and owners in disputes with yards, sellers or insurers. A neutral, technically grounded opinion on what happened, why, and what it costs to put right.
Pre-purchase surveys
For buyers of a yacht far from home. A vetted surveyor attends the vessel wherever she lies and you receive one clear report in English: condition, findings graded and photographed, estimated repair costs and, on request, a market valuation. Fixed prices by length.
AIS investigation surveys
For insurers testing a claim before anyone travels. We reconstruct where the vessel was, how she was moving and what the weather was at the time of loss, and compare it with the claim. Sources and limits are stated in every report. More on AIS investigation surveys →
